PPM highlights women’s health at SCGO congress

Pharmaceutical products dedicated to women’s health — Mucogyne and Saforelle from the French laboratory BIOCODEX, imported exclusively by PPM Trad, and Gynomax from PPM Laboratories — attracted strong interest during the 25th annual congress of the Cambodian Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (SCGO), held on 13 June 2026 in Phnom Penh.
Under the theme “Strengthening emergency obstetric care”, the congress brought together 345 in-person participants and 57 online attendees, including many national and international specialists.

Professor Lim Tara, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health, praised the role of the SCGO in developing professional skills and improving the quality of services, particularly in maternal, child and women’s health.
He recalled that obstetric emergencies — postpartum haemorrhage, arterial hypertension, eclampsia, severe infections and dystocic deliveries — remain among the main causes of maternal and infant mortality in Cambodia.

Professor Lim Tara stressed the need for early detection of risk factors, rapid transfer of patients and effective management to reduce complications and mortality.
He also highlighted the importance of professional ethics and high-quality communication with patients, key elements to strengthen care safety and public trust.

At the PPM stand, Ms Khem Huymean from the Marketing & Export Department observed strong interest among gynaecologists in the products on display — Saforelle, Mucogyne, Gynomax, Ovazol, Gynomix, among others.
According to her, practitioners recognize the quality and effectiveness of these solutions in managing women’s intimate health disorders.
